![]() ![]() This custom glassware was crafted at a local glassblowing shop. The micrometer on top is for greater precision in adjusting tension to the tissue suspended between a hook (bottom) and a force transducer (top). The small boxes house associated signal conditioning electronics. As the tissue contract, a 4-20mA current output is produced. Several types of hand made triangle hooks and clothespin like clips are used to attach the tissue. The stand shown on the right is made of plastic, and was designed to be easily maintained. Again, the glassware was made custom to the users specifications. In this case the working chamber is a little wider to accommodate larger tissue segments, and has approximately 25% more volume. |
