For juniors, seniors, and first year masters students of all
majors. No prerequisites. Introduction to concepts and tools
essential to the entrepreneurial process, overview of the
technology enterprise and the role of the individual within.
Case studies, lectures, workshops and projects covering high-growth
ventures from IT to biotechnology. 4 units, Winter Quarter.

The course is focused on the
development and management of the new business ventures as an entrepreneurial enterprise. We
will examine the characteristics of the successful entrepreneur and determine the critical steps in
building or acquiring a growth business from startup to revenues of greater than $10 million in a
period of five years or less. Teams will develop a business plan that can be used to obtain the
resources to build this business.
