We intended to conduct an opinion poll to gain a broad sense of feelings and ideas about standardized tests. Hopefully, our efforts will be understood as a collection of current opinions rather than thoroughly analyzed research. The controversy surrounding what it means to test remains. Students, parents, and teachers are not the only ones affected by the state of education. We all are. Our group attempted to look at current SAT-9 issues in California. The issue of standardized testing is much bigger as we consider all testing in all states. The results of these tests are under much scrutiny, for funding, for college admissions, and even for real-estate "bragging" rights. We hope that the words and ideas of the people these tests affect will be respectfully considered in the many debates to come.
