Courses of Instruction

Students registering for the first time in a first- or second-year course must take a placement test if they have had any training in Chinese before entering Stanford. All entering students must take Part I (written) of the placement test online during the summer, followed by Part II (oral), to be administered on campus September 17, 2008. Consult the "Language Center" of this bulletin or http://language.stanford.edu for further information. Language courses may not be repeated for credit and must be taken in sequence.
