Statistical Dynamics of Biological Systems
Welcome to Daniel Fisher's group at Stanford. We are a group of researchers working to gain insights about and improve our understanding of biology through theory and modeling, spanning from abstract to concrete biological contexts. We also collaborate with a variety of groups carrying out laboratory experiments or trying to extract understanding from observational data.
Research areas include:
- Microbial Mats in Yellowstone Hotsprings
- Drivers of Genetic Diversity in the Marine Microbiome
- Eco-Evolutionary Dynamics of Diverse Communities
- Cancer Biology
- Population Genetics and Evolutionary Dynamics
- Experimental Evolution of Microbes
- Theoretical Neuroscience
