Kit and Lily is a novel in progress by
Geoffrey Skinner and Brian Kunde, the then-completed portions of which were published as a
chapbook by Fleabonnet Press in July, 1994. It shares with
Sturgis Antelope,
Two Tales from Squirrel’s Children,
Shell Town Noir,
In the Broken World and
A Las Bellotas Triptych
the background setting of the fictional town of Las Bellotas.
This Internet sampler comprises the table
of contents of the novel and a number of representative chapters.
An earlier version of this work, based on the chapbook, was previously posted on the Internet in June, 2004. It originally comprised the chapbook's table of contents and one representative chapter ("The Neighbors"); a second chapter from the chapbook ("Lily in the Desert") was added in January, 2005. This second Internet edition, based on the the current state of the novel, includes the novel's complete table of contents and adds several chapters not included in the chapbook or the first Internet edition.
