Non-planar art

This is a collection of sculptures I've created. I started out crocheting mathsy objects, but have since expanded to other textiles, woodworking, metalworking (both hot and cold), moldmaking+casting, ceramics etc. Many of my more involved artworks typically have a social or interactive component. <i>Untitled</i>. A latch hook rug in which I've reversed the roles of yarn and canvas---the yarn forms the base, and the rug canvas is cut up into pieces which form the rug fibres.

<i>Hyperbolic clock</i>. A hyperbolically quilted working clock. Designed to stretch and abstract our understanding of what a clock is.

<i>Dimensionality</i>. A piece exploring unexpected dimensions for various materials---such as using canvas one-dimensionally, and using pipes two-dimensionally.

<i>Flowermountain</i>. A sculpture consisting of about 150 'puzzle pieces' made from kamaboko boards.

<i>Entwined Experience</i>. A sculpture consisting of about 200 kamaboko boards glued onto a sheet of plywood.

<i>California Cake</i>. A sculpture of six pieces of kamaboko on a low table.

<i>Union</i>. Welded steel rod and sheetmetal forming a U shaped fire hydrant.

Coding art?

I wrote a programme for converting grid diagrams of knots/links into artworks in the style of Mondrian. You can generate your own from my github page. Here are two example outputs - namely for the trefoil knot and 6_1 ribbon knot.
