In 1920 John, his sister Naomi and their mother were living with Hazel's parents Will and Lily Sherman on Fourth Steet in Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri. In September, 1927, John and Naomi were apparently still living in the household of their maternal grandfather in Missouri. John married, — –, 193– in —, Dohn Leslie Stinnett (Donna). She was born July 29, 1917 in —, south east Missouri, the daughter of William Jackson Stinnett and Mary Catherine (Binkley) Stinnett. Children:
John Traudt was living in St. Louis, Missouri in 1960 and 1978. John was a member of the First Baptist Church in Arnold, Jefferson County, Missouri, and a lifetime member of Painters Union Local #115. John's last residence was Imperial, Jefferson County, Missouri 63052. He died Sunday, July 19, 1992. He was survived by his wife, four children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Visitation was from 4:00-8:00 P.M. the following Tuesday at the Heiligtag Funeral Home, Arnold. The funeral service was held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 22, 1992 at the First Baptist Church in Arnold. Interment was at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri. Donna Traudt's last residence was Imperial, Jefferson County, Missouri 63052. She died Sunday, December 14, 1997 in Arnold, Missouri. She was survived by her four children, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family received friends from 1:00-8:00 P.M. the following Tuesday at the Heiligtag Funeral Home in Arnold. The funeral was conducted at the First Baptist Church of Arnold at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 1997. Interment was beside her husband at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri. Their grave marker bears the following inscription:
