KIPAC
The Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC) was founded in 2003. It was the second Kavli institute founded by Fred Kavli and the Kavli Foundation. There are now 16 Kavli Institutes in the fields of astrophysics, nanoscience and neuroscience. KIPAC is located in the Fred Kavli Building at SLAC and the Physics Astrophysics Building on campus. In addition to Fred Kavli and the Kavli Foundation, KIPAC has been generously supported by DOE, NASA, NSF, Stanford University and private donors including Pehong and Adele Chen and Pierre Schwob.
