Database Producers (Chemical Abstracts Service, Beilstein etc.) may offer:

  • printed guides and workshops on how to search their databases
  • printed and online instructional materials
  • booths at ACS and other conferences where staff answer questions
  • a Help Desk for phone questions, or a Web Site

  • some vendors provide:
    • small inexpensive versions of the databases useful for training purposes

    • a Help Desk, for phone questions
