Railroaded

This William Henry Jackson photograph, c. 1885, shows the tracks of the Denver and Rio Grande running into the narrow Grand Canon, or Royal Gorge, of the Arkansas River. Workers and equipment were lowered by ropes from the rim to construct the roadbed and track.
