Weekly group meetings
Wednesdays, 12:00 p.m.
Mitchell Building, Room 372
All are invited to attend and participate. We especially invite visitors and interested students to come see what our group is up to. Our meetings are informal and usually consist of student presentations of current research or interesting scientific papers. Sometimes we just eat pizza.
We run our own computer cluster for many of our processing needs, but we also are members of the
Center for Computational Earth and Environmental Science, a computing center with large mainframe and cluster computing. We use these large machines to reduce our data reliably for problems too large in scope to fit easily within desktop or small-cluster environments. Students and visitors in the group have ready access to CEES machines and technical support.
