EE278: Course Information

Assigned each Thursday and due the following Thursday before class at 1:00 PM.
Submissions will be made on Gradescope (see Canvas for access).
Late homework will not be accepted but the homework with the lowest score will be dropped.

There will be a small quiz available after each lecture and due at 1:00 pm before the following lecture.
Quizzes will be made accessible via Gradescope (see Canvas for access).
Late quizzes will not be accepted but your lowest two quiz scores will be dropped.

There will be an in-class midterm and a final. SCPD students can take the exams either in-person or offline within a 24-hour window with a proctor.
- Midterm: Thu Nov 9, in class
- Final: Tue Dec 12th, 3:30 - 6:30 pm in Shriram 104.

Prerequisites: EE178 or equivalent, some basic linear algebra, and knowledge of a language like MATLAB or Python to do some simple simulation exercises.

Piazza: The main mode of electronic communication between students and staff, as well as amongst students, will be through Piazza. It is intended for general questions about the course, clarifications about assignments, student questions to each other, discussions about material, and so on. We strongly encourage students to participate in discussion, ask and answer questions through this site. The course staff will monitor discussions closely. We will use the Canvas website for general announcement

Collaboration: You are encouraged to work on homework problems in study groups of no more than 3 people; however, you must always write up the solutions on your own, and you must never read or copy the solutions of other students. Similarly, you may use books or online resources to help solve homework problems, but you must always credit all such sources in your writeup and you must never copy material verbatim. However collaboration is not allowed in the midterm and final exams.
