Llama in Machu Picchu, Peru
This picture was taken by the author's husband on a trip to Machu Picchu, Peru, in September, 1998. In the background isWayna Picchu (mountain) at the foot of which lie the famous ruins of the Incas (see Photo5 in the gallery). In the foreground is a llama indigenous to this region. The author tries to keep a safe distance from this seemingly friendly animal.
