Lord Adrian makes the first electrical recordings of individual
nerves. He discovers a universal law for nerves - as important for
brain study as Newton's laws are for motion.

Neurons communicate with eacho other by sending brief burst of electrical pulses
along their fibers. The pulses don't vary in amplitude but vary in the frequency
of their bursts, which can be up to a thousand impulses in a second.
