Venus'
last transit in the 21st century happened on June 5th. The
photos below were taken with my Canon SX260 camera, using an
eclipse filter. The transit was visible in California from
about 3pm to sunset, though the sun went behind thin clouds
around 6:15 pm, so we only go to see about half. The transit
was over by about 9:30 pm.
