Volterra Series for Nonlinear Circuits

In this paper we discuss the question of when the Volterra series is appropriate for nonlinear circuits. We determine that the Volterra series representation is appropriate for circuits with fading memory. However, they observe that while the class of circuits with fading memory is a very wide class of circuits, it excludes those circuits which exhibit truly nonlinear behavior.
