Albert died December –, 1898, or December 23, 1899, aged 3. Interment was in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri, in the same plot in which his father was later buried. The grave bears a marker with the following inscription, with dating slightly erroneous:
