Professor Damir Buskulic

Université de Savoie
Member of the Laboratoire d'Annecy-le-Vieux de Physique des Particules (LAPP)

"Status of the LIGO-Virgo experiments and data analysis techniques for interferometric gravitational wave detectors"

Abstract: After giving a brief status on the LIGO-Virgo gravitational wave detectors, an overview of data analysis techniques will be made, depending on the type of gravitational wave source that is searched for. More specifically, as an example, a data analysis pipeline will be described, used for searches of binary coalescence events. A few examples of uses and outputs of this pipeline will be showed.

Bio: Damir Buskulic, "Maître de conférence" (Assistant Professor) at the Université de Savoie, member of the Laboratoire d'Annecy-le-Vieux de Physique des Particules (LAPP), situated in Annecy, French Alps. Working in the Virgo collaboration, doing data analysis in the "Compact Binary Coalescence" group with the LIGO team.
