The sky was quite clear on Sunday morning, so we decided to drive back the Waimea Canyon and Koke'e Park to view the Kalalau Valley without all the fog. We had intended to hike the Honopu Trail, but a wrong turn down a step and slippery hunter's track resulted in an aborted attempt. Instead we drove down the Makaha Ridge Road. On the way back we stopped in Hanapepe and made a side trip to Koloa.
