Isaiah Baughman's Will

Presented to the court by George Hull on 19 Oct 1870:
In the name of the Benevalent Father of all, I Isaiah Baughman, of Brown Tp. Caroll Co. Ohio, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
1st. It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid
2nd. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Baughman in lieu of her dower, one third of all my personal and real property, or the House and the seven acres of land on which I now live, on the West side of the road, or the House and forty acres of land on the East side of the road north of, and adjoining lands of Samuel Latter, as she may choose, to have and hold the part she chooses, during her life providing that she remains unmarried, and at her death all the property hereby devised except so much as shall be necessary for her comfortable support shall divest to my heirs.
3d. That I have given my [sic] to oldest son Jacob Baughman eighty-five acres of land in Sandusky county Ohio in lieu of his share.
4th. Then the Remainder of my estate to be equally divided among the following Heirs--Mary Reed, wife of Robert Reed one share--Rachel & Lavina Harsh, Daughters of Esther Harsh, one share--Anna Cook wife of Peter Cook one share--John Baughman my son one share--Elizabeth Crissman wife of Benjm. Crissman one share--Isaiah Baughman jr. my son one share--Henry Baughman my son one share--
And I do also appoint my son Henry Baughman executor of this my last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 30th day of Oct. 1860 A.E. Buss, Geo Hull, Chas Elson Witnesses.
