LOTUS & ASH is more of a dream than anything else. it’s the stationery press & design firm that i hope to have by the time i graduate university in two years. it’s the company that i hope to develop during my time at school, that i can continue to develop for years to come, and that i hope can both preserve the art of letter writing and keep a place for art in the digital world.

LOTUS: mei lin, my middle name, chosen by my malaysian grandmother, means beautiful lotus flower. the lotus flower is a symbol of new beginnings.

& : the ampersand, my favorite glyph.

ASH : a hark to my irish heritage, my birthday falls under the ash tree of celtic tree mythology. however, there are, of course, the associations of ash and death… and, it goes without saying that lotus & ash will take care of you from new beginnings to the end.
