| Sunday - Death Valley Oct 2009 / Striped Butte, which is how the Valley gets its name, is 900ft above the valley floor. The colorful layers of sediments in this butte make it geologically unique. There is a Geological seal at the top where hikers can login their name in the logbook. We're going to hike it next time we're in the valley. |
