| Sunday - Death Valley Oct 2009 / Feral Burro. The National Park Services may have plans to eradicate them from DV. The argument is that Bighorn sheep population have declined because of the feral burros. Some say the burros foul waterholes and eat forage the sheep would otherwise eat. One thing is for sure...they woke me up in the middle of the night when they bray. I guess that's how they keep in contact with other donkeys over the wide spaces of the desert. They sure are loud. |
