Linda M. Bernard
I am an associate archivist with the Hoover
Institution at Stanford University,
where I have been working ever since I arrived in the states in 1978. Coming
from Switzerland with my degree in international relations and my knowledge
of several Western European languages, the Hoover
Archives, with its renowned collection of twentieth-century materials,
seemed like the perfect place. And indeed, twenty-three years later, I'm
still here! The latest project we're very excited about is seeing more
and more of the finding
aids to our collections on the Web.
My home page is still under construction, but, for the
time being, you might be interested in some sites from my past...
I grew up in Geneva, Switzerland,
home of many
international
organizations, and studied at the
University
of Geneva and the Graduate Institute
of International Studies. Then my path brought me to sunny California,
where I met my wonderful husband, Gregory Kington. We live in Los Altos
but gravitate mostly around Palo Alto, and enjoy the endless pleasures
of the San
Francisco Bay Area.
