Stanford
University Golf for Business & Life Program
Since 1999, the PGA of America
and Tiger Woods have been instrumental in the expansion of our existing P.E. golf program. We have
been able to add 24 additional sections because of contributions by Tiger Woods through proceeds
generated by the biannual Ryder Cup.
Golf is truly a sport of a lifetime where special friendships and business bonds are formed. We look
forward to introducing or refining your golf and networking skills.
Format
The
classes meet twice a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and
Thursday. Each meeting lasts for 50 minutes and takes place at the driving range,
nursery green, 19th hole or (if the weather is bad) indoors. There is
a free supply of range balls during class meetings. Golf clubs are provided
during class time. You will also have the chance to play on a local
golf course in a optional golf outing or two, depending on your level
of play.
Sign-up
Procedure
Beginning Fall Quarter 2008, sign-ups for all P.E. classes
will only be available through Axess. Sign-ups are on a first come, first served basis. Classes sizes are limited -- if classes
are full, students will be added to a waiting list. All students who are registered or on a waiting list for a class
must attend the first or second class or they will be dropped from the class. A syllabus will be distributed at the
first class meeting or sent electronically. Golf classes must be taken for credit -- no auditing.
