Project 3 Process

•     Similar to my project for Assignment 3, "Music Through the Night", I wanted to capture a sense of travel through the town. I chose the song "Bye Bye Blues" because I felt that it better accompanied this goal of traveling through suburbs than the more shocking and scary "Rosemary's Baby".
•     My piece begins in a small suburban neighborhood, but once the music begins to shift, the listener leaves the neighborhood and begins their journey in their car throughout the town. After every shift in music, a different location is visited--some locations include a pool, a night club, and even interesting aerial views from a helicopter. The climax of the piece occurs at the lake when the boats are speeding across it, and the video eventually fades to black, signifying the impending end to the piece. After the background video fades to black, the music slowly begins to fade as well, marking the end of the piece and the end of the listener's journey through the town.
