ABOUT
We took a plain text file of the Bible, zapped all of the stop words, and partitioned it into 1175 chunks of 300 words each. The x-axis represents the words of the Bible, with each pixel mapping to one of our 1175 chunks (left to right in Bible order). The annotations below the x-axis align with the chunks in which the respective events appear. The y-axis represents the input word's count per 300 word chunk.
HOW TO USE
Type in a word to search for, and hit the [Enter] key
Click the rectangles under the x-axis to brush (filter) by book
Drag the crosshair across the graph to draw your own brush
Focus on a brush by hovering over it – an outline will appear
View concordances within a brush by clicking "Show context"
