Hiragana Writing Practice MaterialThis page was created on 9 May, 2007. Hiragana is one of three components of the Japanese writing system along with katakana and kanji. Hiragana is used for words for which there are no kanji, including particles and suffixes. Hiragana can also be used to spell out kanji pronunciation (these hiragana are called furigana).
