CME 193
Introduction to Scientific Python
Winter, 2015

Basic information:

Lectures

We will be doing practice problems throughout the lectures, so bring your laptop to class! There will also be some guest lectures to see how researchers at Stanford use Python in their work.

Slides will be posted after class, and the lecture videos are available through SCPD. There is no required reading, but I would recommend these references to supplement the lectures and help with assignments.

Required work, grading

The best way to learn a new programming language is to practice. There will be eight weekly assignments, posted at least one day before each lecture. Students must earn at least 70% of the homework points available to pass.
