RF Preferences are due Monday at 306 Old Union by 1pm

Two key things to know about this day:

1. They need to turn in this form along with their preferences list: RF Preferences Form

2. The RFs have to physically bring these documents to the Central Office so we can can go over the list to make sure we understand the list completely.

 

RFs/CDs/Row Director will be called on Monday night or early Tuesday morning to let them know about their RA/CA staffs. Applicants will be notified of appointments on Thursday, April 29 by 9:00 am. We ask that no one share the appointment list with anyone (including the current RAs/CAs) until the applicants are formally notified on the Web site on Thursday, April 29, 9:00 am.

 

RFs can create their preferences in a variety of ways. Here are some we recommend:


1. You may produce one long ranked list. We will either work straight down the list in the case of a single list, (or in the case of a list each for men and women we will work straight down each list respectively to fill the appropriate number of male and female positions).


2. You may produce a ranked list for men and women separately (telling us how many men and women you need from each list).


3. You may identify a list (in column or row form) for each RA/CA slot/position with named alternates for each slot/position. (The example below shows the column format: for slot/position number one, we will look to match the "1st Choice" name. If that name is not available, we will go to the 1st alternate, and so on until we use up all of your alternates for that slot/position. If you use this method--and it can be useful for trying to balance a staff of more than 2--you will need to have deep alternate lists, or you will need to be very specific as to which names to go to if the alternates, for any given slot, run out. Some people give several alternates for each slot/position and then give a single ranked list at the end in case we need more names.
It is important that you submit a deep pool of alternates. Put the name of any person on the list who you would accept on your staff; do not put names on the list of anyone you do not wish to have on your staff. We will complete the matching using all names given to us; we will not be calling RFs for additional names during the match process. If you do not provide us with enough names for fill your staff, you will have to fill your staff from the "unassigned" list after the match is completed.
