We visited the Dubrovnik area for a 6-day paddling outing with Adria Adventures. We spent 1.5 days in Dubrovnik before and after the paddling, which was on the archipelago islands of Lopud, Kolocep and Sipan.  The Dubrovnik Old Town is a unique place with its 600-yr old city wall. The locale has been heavily used as Kings Landing in Game of Thrones, including sites on Lokrum Island and the Arboretum.  The paddling was excellent, with interesting shorelines and crystal clear (brisk) water. We arrived just at the transition to summer. By the last day, it was too hot, though the water temperature had not caught up yet.  Our guide, Ivan Glavic, lives on Sipan, so we got a great perspective of island and Croatian life from him. Plus lots of advice on what to eat, like wild boar stew and octopus under the bell.
