AEJMacro-20090057-Replication.zip contains the matlab programs for generating all the graphs in the paper. After unzipping the file, please see README.txt for more information. tfpdata2000.txt contains the TFP data for 2000 used in Figure 4.

BCData.asc This ascii file contains the population data from Kremer (1993 QJE) used in the paper.
Sources50.asc This ascii file contains the data on labor productivity, educational attainment, R&D employment, etc. used in the July 2000 version of this paper. UpSlow1.asc This ascii file contains some older data that is not presently used in this paper, including R&D shares of GDP.
HallJones400.asc This ascii file contains the appendix table version of Table I for all countries. In addition, the file contains data on output per worker, physical capital, human capital, productivity, social infrastructure, language, latitude, etc.
TimeEGM.asc This ascii file contains data on GDP, investment, total factor productivity growth, and scientists and engineers engaged in R&D.
RelPrice.asc This ascii file contains data on the relative price of capital for the various components (machinery, nonmachinery, etc.).
ApplData.zip This file contains the data we
used from the OECD Intersectoral Data Base, together with PPP data at
five-year intervals and average annual hours worked in the
manufacturing sector. Fourteen OECD economies from 1970 to 1987 are
covered.
USStates.zip This file contains data for
US States by industry on labor productivity (Gross State Product per
employee) and employment, for the period 1963-1989.
