Losing Users
by Anonymous

The summer days were growing hot:
The students left the Farm.
The libraries had patrons -- Not!
And viewed it with alarm.

"The number of our users is
Becoming mighty thin!
This isn't good at all -- Gee whiz!
How can we pack them in?"

We argued all the summer long
How best to lure the masses.
For every choice support was strong,
Except for free-use passes.

Disliking options great and small,
We laid them on the shelf --
And just as well; for with the fall,
The problem solved itself.
