The Library

The Library
Is where one goes
With intentions of writing:
Writing an "A" composition,
A treatise on heat engines,
A report on Anna Karenina,
A letter to the girl back home;
But where one
Dreams of floating lazily
In a canoe,
Of warm sunshine
On a ripply lake,
Of gentle breezes
Blowing fluffy golden hair;
Dreams of the soft blue eyes,
Dreams of kissing tenderly
The bright red lips
Of the girl two tables down.
