Computer keyboards quirky are:
Though QWERTY like the rest,
They also have some other keys,
Your faculties to test.
The arrow keys may take you far,
Though some boards have two sets:
Which set may work, and which may freeze,
I won't lay any bets.

Page Up, Page Down, Insert, Delete,
Are often doubled too,
Along with Home and End: you see,
Of choices you've a slew.
You'll also find, that to unseat
Your temper, or your mind,
Control and Caps Lock keys may be
Reversed: now that's unkind!

The function buttons change their use
With every program loaded:
For users who can't keep them straight,
A sorry session's boded.
What action any key may loose
When pressed, oppresses all
Who've ever pinned on one their fate,
And chancing, lost the call.

Whenever you sit down to type
Where you've not worked before,
And find an unfamiliar board,
You must relearn the score.
They shouldn't put us through this tripe
To satisfy their quirk.
I've had enough of this, O Lord:
You make the damned thing work!
