As you may have heard already, EH&S is involved in preparing a computer CD-ROM based Computer Ergonomics Awareness Training program. In efforts to prepare this for departmental use as soon as possible, we are asking for your assistance in identifying people who might be able to test-run and provide feedback on this new training presentation.
We are looking for a diverse pool of participants, including:

Please join SERG in welcoming Stella
Ota to SUL/AIR. Stella fills are new Reference and Instructional
Librarian position in SERG. In this new role she will serve as the
principal assistant to Grace Baysinger in the Swain Library of Chemistry
and Chemical Engineering for providing library
instruction in the use of Chemical
Abstracts, Beilstein, Gmelin, and other chemistry resources. In addition
Stella will be working a significant amount of time at the Engineering
Library Reference Desk. Eventually we expect Stella to providing
reference and instructional support for all seven SERG Branch Libraries.
Stella arrives well suited for our many expectations. She received her BS in electrical engineering from UC Irvine and her MLIS from SJSU. For the past four years, while earning her library degree, she has been a Senior Library Assistant in the Science and Engineering Library at Cal Tech where she provided general, science, and engineering reference assistance. In addition she was the primary library assistant providing support for chemistry within the Science and Engineering Library. Prior to that experience Stella spent two years in Japan as an assistant english teacher.
