Everywhere one looks, one sees Mangled word menageries. CoHo, FroYo, FacSen, more: Hacked and pasted words galore! SLAC and BRAN and LAW and HOV; HMS, and ENG, and GOV; SULA, SULSA, SALSA, SAL -- What's the purpose of it all? What could all these letters mean? Branch, Coordinate, or Green? We've all got, upon our backs, Acronymphomaniacs! |
Samson, Cardinal, Elaine -- All these titles! What a pain! Who can keep them all in mind? Who can free us from this bind? Once I dreamed, when young and bold, I might learn, ere I grew old, All our tongue, in all its glory. Now it's quite another story. I have suffered horrid harm To my English on the Farm: I'll depart from it a freak, Speaking only Stanfordspeak. |
