Bright, warm, shining

A beautiful day, a good mood, a new start

The water

Clear, fluid, rich

Is it rain? Is it the ocean?

But it tastes like fresh cut grass and cotton candy

Leaves

Sprout, grow, mature

A tree house, a pretty skirt for the Barbie, a fairy who can do magic

This is young and new

A pair of eyes,

So eager to explore the world

The sun

Bright, warm, shining

A new day, a morning wake-up call for school, a day without PE class cancelled

The water

Clear, fluid, rich

“H2O” in chemistry formula, “Don’t forget to drink water” mom texted when in school, the pond to walk past by every day after school

Leaves

Sprout, grow, mature

An organ of a vascular plant, an extension of a tree, a field trip to the botany garden

This is fresh and growing,

A pair of eyes,

Examining the world,

Eagerly applying their knowledge in what they are able to tell

Bright, warm, shining

A day without worrying about new suit and tie getting wet, but a day to worry about sunburned tan, is my skin going to get red? Oh but maybe it's time to wear my new gucci sunglasses

The water

Clear, fluid, rich

Is it rain? Is it the ocean

But don’t wet my perms, don’t stain my white jeans, don’t form a pond in front of my vestibule. What color of the umbrella matches my boots? Is it too late to take the subway to work?

Sprout, grow, mature

Need to sweep the yard today, and cut the long branches; need to keep them away from the kids, there’s dirt on the leaves

Once again,

Bright, warm, shining

A beautiful day for a walk with my lovely partner, a good mood for picnic, another day to admire the sunset

The water

Clear, fluid, rich

It can be the rain, and it can be the ocean

Nurture the creatures, end of drought, and begin of the new-born

Leaves,

Sprout, grow, mature

Freshness, a change in rhythm, a next generation
