Undergraduate Admission

A freshman class of about 1,600 students and a transfer class of about 80 students are admitted each year. The Undergraduate Admission website offers information about academic preparation, how to obtain admission materials, and an online application. Graduate Admission

Stanford offers graduate degrees in more than 60 departments and programs in seven schools, and requirements for admittance vary greatly among them. Currently, more than 7,500 students are pursuing post-baccalaureate degrees at Stanford. The Graduate Admission website provides general information about graduate study and the admission process while the Graduate Diversity website provides additional information about Stanford's strong commitment to diversity in graduate education.

Financial Aid

All undergraduate financial aid is based on need. Aid for financing graduate study is based on availability of funds and academic merit.

Executive, Professional, Continuing & K-12 Education

Stanford offers valuable opportunities for lifelong learning. Continuing Studies schedules a broad range of courses for people in the Bay Area. The Stanford Center for Professional Development provides degree and non-degree distance-learning courses. The Graduate School of Business and Law School offer executive education. Summer Session provides high school, undergraduate, and graduate students unique access to Stanford's outstanding faculty. Roughly 5 percent of undergraduates and 30 percent of graduate students are from outside the United States. The Bechtel International Center provides visa information and offers a variety of social, cultural and educational programs.
