NEST: | Adherent also under eaves, bridges, in wells; of grass, forbs, moss, plant fibers, lined with fine materials, esp hair. |
EGGS: | White, mostly unmarked, some (last laid) with small red spots. 0.8" (19 mm). |
DIET: | Almost exclusively insects. Regurgitates pellets. |
CONSERVATION: | Winters s to s Mexico. Rare cowbird host. |
NOTES: | Frequently seen hovering. Often feeds just above watersurface. |
