Rohan Kamath
Rohan Kamath was a Stanford student (MS-Computer Science) from India, when he took many of the photographs used in this website. Rohan has been observing birds since age 7 and, now living in Seattle WA, he continues to photograph birds, documnenting species and various aspects of behavior.
When looking for Northern Flickers the yellow or red shafts of their wing feather might catch your eye during fllight. Also, they eat more ants than other North American woodpeckers and, not surprisingly, spend more time on the ground than they do.
