Stanford note: Jan Nolte wrote, "A female Great Horned Owl I observed living in the oak and eucalyptus groves near the Stanford Mausoleum (2010-2013) with her mate, a smaller gray male (below). I captured the image of her on an oak tree at dusk after both owls had left their eucalyptus tree perches in pursuit of prey."
