Deciduous, coniferous, and riparian woodlands, bogs, thickets.? broods.

Well hidden; of coarse grass, bark strips, occ rimmed with moss, lined with fine materials.

EGGS:

White, marked with reddish-brown, brown, usu wreathed. 0.6" (16 mm).

DIET:

Entirely insectivorous.

CONSERVATION:

Winters s to El Salvador and c Honduras. Uncommon cowbird host.

NOTES:

Little studied. Breeding range does not overlap with the closely related Virginia's Warbler.
