The artist's
interest in avian art has led to the production
of book and magazine illustrations, and more
recently, to the production of digital images
such as those seen in the species treatment of
this website.
Her interest in
avian art history has led to a long-term study
of the role of imagery in the formalization of
ornithology as a science, and the interplay
between the two over the 2,000-year written
record of the discipline. She has recently completed Humans, Nature, and Birds: Science Art from Cave Walls to Computer Screens with Donald Kennedy.
