Megalodon disappeared about 1.6 million years ago. It was the largest shark known to have lived, probably reaching at least 50 feet (15 m). It is depicted with the tiny 3-6 inch (7.6-15 cm) Falcatus shark of 350 million years ago. Working out what these sharks looked like was a challenge, as for the most part very few pieces--usually teeth and vague shapes fossilized in shale. The Megalodon may be a close relative of the Great White (Carcharodon carcharias) (looks small by comparison) so I kept the skin and colour similar. The Falcatus reminds me of the Cookiecutter shark (Isistius spp.), and so I went with those colours.
