Within the world of artistic flow visualization, Evolution--A New Version traces the life and
development of forms, which have echoes of the shapes of actual plants and
animals. As we see these possible evolutionary pathways and trends take form, it
becomes evident that there are parallels between the patterns and shapes created
by fluid dynamics and those found in the ‘real’ world.
We begin with a spinning planet, and move down towards the sea bed to find primitive
life forms in jelly, and primitive plants. Later, we see forms reminiscent of the
Amoeba, the Euglena and the tadpole, then higher, multicellular organisms pulsating,
followed by increasingly complex, coloured plant forms, and finally a reprise of the
spinning planet.
