Youth Creativity, Innovation & Sustainable Leadership Program with Shining Star International School in Collaboration with E-Squared Learn with Leaders: Innovators Toolkit Workshop (ITW) - Winter 2022
An online workshop based on innovator skills featured in the YCISL Toolkit Series. Organized in collaboration with Learn with Leaders (E-Squared).

Do you have the skillset to be one of the next generation of global innovators? The ITW Workshop in collaboration with LwL and Shining Star International School will take advanced high school students on a Sustainable Futures Initiative design thinking journey where they will explore imaginative & creative ideation using five select innovative thinking skills including: (1) asking questions (2) fast creative thinking, (3) divergent-convergent thinking, (4) filling & crossing gaps, & (5) positivity. The workshop emphasizes project-based learning to encourage collaborative teamwork and ownership which presents life lessons for future growth and development. The workshop comprises drills, discussions and conceptual project development which dynamically connect awareness with actions through interaction. Students will be challenged as individual contributors as well as influencers in packaging their fun & exciting ideas for a presentation. Will their ideas get to the next level or will it get sent back to the drawing board?

Students participating in this program must have a demonstrated record of excellent collaboration skills and a passion for advanced research & development.

About the ITW Design Thinking Project:

• Scope: Each team will develop a concept proposal for lifestyle-changing new products in select user domains that advance sustainability, smart-enabling, & personal well-being.
• Deliverables: Project development website, & Concept Catalog Sheet; Smart App Prototype; Quick Pitch Presentation.
• Focal Points: Early adopter. Originality. Storytelling.
• Strategies: Persuasively shift human behavior and push the boundaries of people’s imaginations.
• Outcome: Team concept proposals will be assembled into a portfolio for documentation purposes.

This will be an online activity using videoconferencing.
