Future Projects

Summer Institute

The Center is exploring the possibility of hosting a Summer Poverty and Inequality Institute that brings top undergraduate students to Stanford University to plan, develop, and carry out innovative research and interventions. These projects, which will be developed under the direction of leading Stanford University professors, will be presented in a small conference at the conclusion of the summer session.

Teen Scholars

The Center is currently exploring the possibility of hosting a summer residential training program that offers poor high-school students academic enrichment, long-term mentoring, and information about careers in social science and inequality research. This program will be loosely modeled after the immensely successful Stanford Medical Youth Science Program.

Five Minute Video Archive

The Center is developing an archive of 5-minute videos that introduce the theories, research programs, and interventions that are changing our world. These videos may be used to lead classroom discussions, to provide engaging introductions to the ideas that have changed the poverty and inequality landscape, and to introduce key figures working on the poverty and inequality fronts.
