Overview

The Cultural and South Asian Issues Committee strives to raise awareness about cultural and sociopolitical issues that are of concern to our community, both in South Asia and the diaspora. More specifically, it addresses issues pertinent to both the South Asian community and the greater Stanford community by initiating dialogue and providing forums for discussion. This committee also organizes the annual South Asian Awareness Month held during Winter Quarter. Initiated during the 2003-2004 academic school year, South Asian Awareness Month has grown in both scope and attendance over the last three years.
